When I’m out in the world, actively observing while I travel or traipse, things just happen. I chat with strangers. I notice odd objects. I step into surprise.

It happens in the kitchen, too — minus the strangers. I pair new flavors, take shortcuts, brave unfamiliar cuisines.

Later, at my laptop, the adventures and realizations pour out.
